Event Summary
The South African Ladies Fly Fishing Nationals was a huge success. 20 Ladies participated in the event with Gauteng North, Mpumalanga, Cape Winelands and the Eastern Cape being represented.
The competition was hard fought between the two groups of 10 anglers with a total of 292 fish being caught during the event. Considering that the ladies were faced with a 'recovering' river that had flooded a week before the start of the event with the worst flooding conditions experienced in the last 30 years the results were fantastic.
It is really pleasing to see the ladies competitive fly fishing group growing in numbers and skill.
A big thank you to Verlorenkloof as the hosting venue and the Gauteng North organising team for the effort they put into making the event run perfectly.
